SORA, SAIL and full engineering support for UAS / RPAS across the EASA Specific category.
We support operators and manufacturers in achieving operational approval and type certification for drones under the EASA framework — from the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) through all SAIL levels and the supporting systems, safety, software and security engineering.
From your Concept of Operations we determine the Ground and Air Risk Class and propose mitigations to acceptable levels, guide you through the Operational Safety Objectives (OSOs) and the robustness of mitigations, and can prepare full SORA documentation, review existing assessments, or provide templates and training.
We evaluate your design and processes against the applicable OSOs, identify deficiencies with actionable recommendations, and assess the changes needed to elevate your product to a higher SAIL.
For SAIL I–III we help meet the OSOs through system design, safety, reliability, software and cybersecurity (e.g. OSO #5 per ED-280). For SAIL IV we streamline the Design Verification Report (DVR), establish the requirement baseline under Special Condition UAS and support Means of Compliance (MoC) proposals.
SAIL V/VI require a Type Certificate; we bring experience from SC-VTOL, SC-E19, CS-23 and CS-27/29 projects — certification plans, compliance audits and documentation — plus systems engineering, requirements & V&V, configuration management and simulation across the lifecycle.
