IDA supports space system manufacturers and integrators in the development and verification of mission-critical designs through comprehensive Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) engineering. The company applies Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and quantitative reliability modelling to assess loss-of-mission and loss-of-vehicle scenarios in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-30, ECSS-Q-ST-40, and NASA/SP-2011-3421 guidelines.

IDA has provided RAMS and FTA support for a European space capsule program, focusing on loss-of-mission contributors such as power bus redundancy, pressurization system isolation, and propulsion valve reliability. Using detailed fault trees built to component level and combining NPRD/EPRD data with ECSS-compliant reliability allocations, IDA helped identify critical failure paths and quantify the probability of mission loss.

By applying structured and transparent RAMS methodologies, IDA can support organizations in achieving the mission assurance, safety verification, and certification evidence needed to meet the rigorous demands of modern spaceflight.
